Dr. Afshin Divani has joined the University of Minnesota as an Assistant Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Radiology.  After obtaining his doctorate degree, Dr. Divani received research fellowship training in sleep disorder in Department of Medicine in State University of New York at Buffalo.  He subsequently received a second research fellowship training in stroke in University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  He joined the University of Minnesota as the Director of Research of the Stroke Center.  He is a Fellow of American Heart Association (FAHA) and Stroke Council. Dr. Divani is a member of several national and International Professional Societies including American Heart Association (AHA), American Academy of Neurology (AAN), American Society of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology (ASITN), and Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES).
